? The league rule requires 3 games be bowled to establish an average. A member bowles a 120 for game 1
and a 150 for game 2 and cannot bowl game 3. What score is used for the missed game? How are average and handicap figured?
Answer: In a handicap league , if a bowler does not have an entering average or until they meet the
requirement(s) defined by league rule, handicap is based on the average of all games bowled.
? If an individual bowls out of turn does the delivery count
Answer: No, according to Rule 8, item d, a dead ball would be declared and the correct bowler is then required to continue play.
UPDATEThe USBC board has changed the bowling unopposed rule. No longer will honor scores be issued if the score is bowled outside the league session and the match is bowled unopposed.
